The NCAHM Steering Committee is thrilled to announce the 2024 Caribbean-American Heritage Celebration and Resource Fair [ #CAHCRF2024 ]! This exciting event will showcase the rich cultural tapestry of the Caribbean-American community and provide valuable resources to attendees. The event will take place at the Marian Fryer Town Plaza in Wheaton, Maryland on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The event is organized by the NCAHM Steering Committee of the Caribbean-American Chamber of Commerce for the DMV [ CACCE-GWAN ], in collaboration with partner organizations, businesses and sponsors including: the Wheaton Urban District, Heart of Tabitha Foundation, and the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection. This celebration in Wheaton kicks off August as Maryland’s Caribbean-American Heritage Month.
Immerse yourself in a vibrant, free, outdoor multicultural community event and Indulge in delicious Caribbean cuisine from food vendors, experience live music and dance performances, participate in lively domino game demonstrations, learn about educational and housing resources, and visit our Caribbean-style health and wellness tents. Engage with storytellers, authors and craft vendors and great activities for youth. This event celebrates the diversity of English, Spanish, French, and Creole-speaking Caribbean cultures Featuring countries Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Grenada, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
